Rhinestone Cowgirl

Whizzed up to Brisbane last night for the opening of Liana Kabel’s "Rhinestone Cowgirl" exhibition.

I’ve been watching the progression of her work via instagram so was very excited to see all the sparkleys in real life – they definitely did not disappoint!! From the comments I heard through the night that seemed to be the overall general impression.

Liana’s work will be at Paper Boat Press gallery until the 29th of March, which is a lovely space, run by ceramicist, Kylie Johnson. It was great to finally see the gallery as I had grown up around the corner and was keen to see how she had transformed the space – beautiful!

The night was also a great opportunity to catch up with friends, make new friends and talk about art stuff – definitely worth the trip and I can see more trips -for-art on the horizon!
