Lone Goat Gallery

 
In keeping with my New Year’s resolution of connections and conversations I’ve started volunteering at the Lone Goat Gallery.
 
The gallery was named in honour of Wategoat, the last remaining wild goat in the Cape Byron Headland Reserve.
I was pretty lucky to sight her a few times while walking around the Lighthouse when we first moved to Byron Bay!
 
Attached to the Byron Bay Library on Lawson St, the gallery is run by a committee of volunteers.  I highly recommend a visit if you’re in town. It’s a welcoming space and with bookings set to a limit of 3 weeks there is a constant stream of new work.
 
 
Lynne Wallis is currently exhibiting and will there until 2nd of April. It was lovely to be surrounded by her soothing paintings featuring water and light. My favourite was this...
