When a necklace doesn't want to be a necklace...

Recently I had a vision. A re-working of a previous necklace design - changing what I thought was a small detail to create an interesting variation. It's funny how we think we're in charge of things.

I had the original necklace and the components for the new piece sitting on my bench for over a week. No matter what I did, it just didn't sit right, refusing to replicate the image in my head.

But while I was trying a number of connection ideas out, my perspective shifted and I realized that what I actually had on bench was earrings with the new earring hook I had been thinking about over the past month!

And voila! Just by squinting my eye and looking at things differently my vision manifested and I ended up with a lovely new earring style.
